Here's the thing about bandflesh: if you want to be an anonymous asshole on the internet, go right ahead. It's a free world. And if you want to combine your anonymous assholishness with your fandom squee, your fandom friends, and other things that I generally believe to be more positive aspects of fandom than anonymous bitchery--well, I don't get it, but sure. Do your thing.

But dude, don't try to pass off your oh-so-wonderful tightknit community of beffies and love as harmless. I don't give a flying fuck what other stuff is included, it's still a big anonymous community that's used for talking shit about people and dogpiling. If you're going to participate in that, you'd better accept the fact that, yep, people might not think so highly of you. (Or you could bend over backwards to keep your involvement secret--one of the wonderful pros of anonymity!--and be even more of a piece of slime, but hey, free world.)

I probably shouldn't post this, as people have always been assholes on the internet and always will be, but what-the-fuck-ever. I'm never good at keeping my mouth shut.
