zeegoeshere: (waking up with nicoteine)

So after a month of loudly wondering where the hooker fic and the long fic was in bandslash, fandom gives me this. Mea culpa, bandom. I'll never slight your name again, I swear. (Note: I haven't actually read this yet, just seen it recced all over. It's going to be my reward to myself for getting my laundry done, in the hopes that this makes me actually do my laundry. This is my fourth day in a row of no socks, it's pretty ridiculous.)

If there was any doubt that My Chem has their skeleton-hobo-gloved fingers wrapped firmly around my heart, yesterday I had a cuddle dream about Gerard Way. No, not a *sex* dream. Not even a making-out dream. We just cuddled a lot, I think in a tent? Maybe we were camping? And, uh, he liked my hair, and took pictures of us together because he thought we looked alike with it. Please mock me, oh my god. *headdesk forever*

And then I woke up from my nap and spent the rest of the night watching My Chem interviews and performances. I'm still entranced by the one where Frank sits on Bob Bryar's shoulders for no reason. Just, what Frank Iero? What? I adore you.

Some recs!

Nothing Like A Doll At All by [livejournal.com profile] iphignia939. Crossover with Sandman, gen with Pete/Patrick hints. This one is outside a cut because hey, I want the comics people on my flist to see it. Yes, I am shameless, whatever. I do not know nearly as much about The Endless as I properly should, but this is still brilliant. Gale uses them masterfully here, as opposed to just cramming in Death and Dream into a couple random scenes (which, I know I'm not the only one who's seen that in ten million crossovers, and I'm probably guilty of doing it *myself,* so). This is multi-layered, insightful, creepy and awesome.

The rest go behind a cut )

It's kind of amazing how much fic I've been reading in this fandom. Because, see, okay--for the past year or so, I haven't read fic hardly at all. Like, you know, I would when I got in exactly the right mood, I would if one of my favorite writers was posting, but fic-reading for me got to be a pretty rare activity. And then in this fandom I'm reading like *crazy,* comparatively, and there's still a ton I haven't read, a *ton.* I'm so behind! I'm looking at the above list and making sad faces because I know that there's been fic that I'd love to rec, I just haven't had a chance to read it yet. Gah, this fandom.
