Today I had a sandwich craving. But not just any sandwich, as I was to find out: I really needed a sandwich from Paradise Bakery, the chain that I worked for for five months in 2005. I used to live off those sandwiches, man, and as much as I hated that place, their chicken walnut is still something that I miss. The only Paradise Bakery around here is the one in the mall, so I went over there around lunchtime because i was downtown, but it was too fucking insanely busy so I said eh and got a sandwich from someplace else. But this craving won't go away! Paradise Bakery sandwich, I must have it! I'm considering going back over there now, even though the mall is out of the way, the food is over-priced and I loathe food courts. I have been spending way too much money going out for food lately, and I need to stop, but uh. Not today.

Anyway. Wow, that was a boring story. Here are some My Chemical Romance fics that I've enjoyed recently:

The Holly Golightly Club by fluffontop, WiP, AU based on the I'm Not Okay video. Have I recced this before? Oh well, I'm doing it again if I have because she just came out with part 2 and gah, I'm so fucking in love with this. The voices are just so spot-on and the universe she's created is incredibly real and incredibly teenaged. It's just damn good writing. You kids today, you like damn good writing, don't you?

Fresh by gigantic, Frank/Bob, fucking hot porn. Frank + Bob + sex + CJ's writing = there is no bad here, seriously. CJ is doing her part to fill the tragic void of Frank/Bob in the world, for which I'm indebted. This is like porny chicken soup for the Frank/Bob 'shipper's soul, or something like that.

Sparkle Motion by bexless, Frank/Gerard. Funny and hot and sweet and I basically want to marry her Gerard voice. This made me laugh so hard and clap my hands in delight at the awesomeness. God I love those crazy band boys.

Sing Ourselves To Sleep by dsudis, Gerard/Patrick. Summer of Like fic! I can't even express in words how much I need more Summer of Like fic in my life, you guys. Their meeting and attraction and courtship feels perfectly real and left me thinking, yes, of course it happened just like this. I love the bits that are about Pete/Mikey, too.
