I blame RDJ and Edward Norton

Um. I kind of can't believe I'm asking this, but: if a girl wished to poke around in Avengers, Iron Man, or Captain America comics, where should she start? Or just, you know, non-DC superhero comics in general. Is there anything actually good coming out these days? How about indie stuff? Emo bands have eaten my brain for a year and a half and I feel utterly clueless about it all, but lately I am really feeling the need for suits and capes. Halp?
