Distract me plz. Meme from
hradzka.
1. Comment to this post with the name of a character that I have written in fic. Or geeked out about.
2. I will comment telling you the following:
a. What initially prompted me to like the character enough to write about him/her.
b. One of his/her best traits.
c. One of his/her worst traits.
d. How easy/difficult I find it to write the character.
e. The story/chapter/paragraph/phrase where I feel that I truly captured the character (if, you know, I've ever written him/her).
f. My plans (if any) to write the character in the near future.
edit: OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD THIS IS MY NEW FAVORITE THING IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE. CHRIS PRATT I LOVE YOU FOREVEEEERRRR.

a. Basically every single moment he's in the music video, but especially the tea-sipping.
b. William has a good instinct for how to make people attached to him.
c. William gets attached to things he shouldn't, though.
d. Erm, surprisingly easy. Not sure what that says about me.
e. Hmm! Probably in And Keep The Things You Forgot when he's admiring the way Pete looks while he's feeding. I feel like I got him really right with that bit.
f. I'm working on more stories in the same universe. The next few probably won't be *about* William quite as much, but he'll be there. :D

Ryan!
(no subject)
a. A devious combination of
b. I'm very fond of Ryan's contemptuousness.
c. His whole 'wah wah don't objectify me' thing aggravates the hell out of me.
d. Well, I've never written anything from his PoV and I think I'd find that very difficult, but I found it easy to write him as Brendon saw him.
e. I admit, I'm pretty proud of this line: "Thanks for reminding me. I always forget that you're the only one with *problems,*" Ryan hisses.
f. I have a feeling that In The Sound is really the only Panic fic I have in me. Never say never, I suppose, but I don't see myself writing a lot of Ryan Ross in the future.

b. His annoying giggle/overall tendency to be an annoying little shit to his bandmates.
c. He's not wearing the lip ring these days. :(
d. I wibbled a lot writing him the first time I tried, but I'm writing something with him in it now and it's getting easier.
e. Haha, I don't know! The only Frank thing I've written is comment porn for Ceej. I don't know if I managed to 'truly capture' him in that.
f. I'm writing some Frank/Bob right now, so that.

b. In a very intense, dramatic, emotional band, Bob is this well-adjusted, kind-of-crotchety, funny normal dude. I like that about him.
c. His dislike of cameras! It means we don't have nearly enough hot pictures of him.
d. He's not the easiest guy for me to get a handle on, writing-wise! Maybe because I really, really want to get him right so I end up fretting a lot.
f. I may or may not be writing fic where Pete Wentz and Bob Bryar switch bodies. You know, as you do.
re: f
I'd say you're really, really mean but I'd love to see what you'll do with a plot like that.

Bright:
a. Before I saw a single episode, I saw this Bright vid, and my heart was basically captured forever by the clip of him singing and doing that little dance for Delia and her friends at her birthday party.
b. BRIGHT'S BEST TRAIT IS HIS EVERYTHING, OKAY? HIS EVERYTHING.
c. Letting Hannah jerk him around, sigh, SIGH. Does that even count as a trait? Do I care?
d. Bright has always been disgustingly easy for me to write. I have a strange affinity with goofy teenaged boys with low IQs that I try not to examine too closely.
e. Hm, I think I already talked to you about this fic, but I remain pretty proud of how I got him in Where The Water's Deep even though I think my writing has changed a lot since I wrote that.
f. I still think Bright and Travis should smoke up together, I really do.
Patrick:
a. His voice, quickly followed by his everything else. Gyah.
b. His fondness for attaching himself to hip-hop stars.
c. He seems to think he's very uninteresting!
d. It was pretty easy for me to write him once I got the hang of it.
e. Um, um! Ummm. I have a dorky fondness for how I wrote him in that section of Hold Off Your Bets Now where they're broken up and everything is depressed and miserable.
f. Stabbing vampires in the NECK with PENCILS.

b.
His assHe is a spazzy tool and it's AWESOME.c. He can, probably, get kind of full of himself and forget to take others' feelings into account at times.
d. When I started writing him I felt like I wasn't writing him at all the way others did, so I felt like I was getting it wrong at first. But then, I don't know, I decided I liked my own interpretation and went with that so it became pretty easy.
e. *toes the ground* Erm, the part in In The Sound where he's playing piano in the empty chapel.
f. Hmm, I have no plotbunnies at the moment for him.

b. His feminist principles. ♥, Gerard.
c. He likes Frank Miller. :(
d. I haven't really tried to write him yet aside from in random chatfic.
e. see above.
f. Well, I have some ideas for him as a vampire hunter. Who knows when I'll get to that.

b. He is a wonderful and loyal friend.
c. He's very insecure.
d. Kon is one of those automatic characters for me. I kind of always see (DCU) stories through his eyes first before thinking of anyone else.
e. Definitely in The Compass That You Gave Me.
f. I have no plans to write him in the future.
(no subject)
None? Awww... :(

b. His drumming, nnnggh.
c. Worst trait, hmm. He probably spends too much money on shoes.
d. I've never tried to write Spencer as a main character, but he's ended up stealing scenes in a couple things I've written, so. Uh. I don't know.
e. I don't think I have yet.
f. Maybe! No ideas, but who knows?

And f pleases me.

a) How physically affectionate he is! I found it fascinating and wonderful and endlessly pleasing, and still do.
b) How much he clearly loves all of his people, from his band to Gabe and William to Patrick and Pete to upstate New York.
c) Because he's always so easily affectionate, I imagine it's actually pretty difficult to draw a serious sentiment out of him sometimes.
d) It took a little hemming and hawing on my end before I felt like I got him right, but then it was pretty easy.
e) Oooh, tricky! Hmm. I'm pretty happy with the conversation he and William have in front of William's fridge when Travis rejects him in And I Speak To You From The Chorus To The Verse.
f) No concrete plans, but I NEED TRAVIS IN MY LIFE so more fic about him will probably come at some point.
