I just heard the lyric 'sensitive thugs/y'all all need hugs' in this song. Sensitive thugs that need hugs! I love hip-hop.

Things that I will miss about Portland:

-Livia
-The way cars stop for pedestrians--at intersections where there are no stop signs and the pedestrian has in fact stopped already to let the car go on its way.
-Trader Joe's. In Utah we call Trader Joe's "Costco".
-As much as the humidity makes me want to die when it gets into the hot afternoon and evenings, the summer mornings are just lovely here.
-Livia's willingness to mock others for my enjoyment. I mean, she makes Ryan Ross rape jokes for me when she's not even *in the fandom,* guys.
-The cafes. Okay, yes, Salt Lake City has coffee shops that aren't Starbucks, but there are seriously like six awesome coffee shops within easy walking distance of me right now. I'm spoiled! And sure, not being around places to buy coffee will help me save money, but saving money vs. the quadruple-shot iced latte I'm currently enjoying? Exactly.
-Everyday Music. Again, I've been spoiled--sure, SLC has places to buy CDs and DVDs, but they don't have an entire city block devoted to used CDs and DVDs.
-Talking about gay porn loudly in public with Livia.
-The atmosphere of appreciating independent businesses and encouraging folks to buy locally.
-Livia's hugs.

Okay, seriously, I'm just basically going to miss my Schmivia so much I can't even deal! I am getting on the bus to SLC tomorrow night, and on the one hand I'm ecstatic to be going back but on the other hand I AM GOING TO MISS LIVIA SO MUCH. My mood right now swings back and forth from :D! to ;_; by the minute, guys.

It pleases me to note that despite my attempts at procrastination and my bitching and my whiny away messages, I actually have managed not to leave my packing till the last minute. Go me! It's pretty much all done--I just have to get rid of a few things, pack stuff from the kitchen + miscellaneous odds and ends, and clean. Oh god, that last part. I'm going to be spending most of today knee-deep in dust bunnies. Fun times.

I have kind of reached the place where I've realized that I don't have seeing Fall Out Boy to look forward to anymore. What the hell! I am not ready to accept that there is no Gabe Saporta or Bill Beckett or Patrick Stump in my immediate future! 'But Zee,' you might say, 'haven't you heard about all the awesome fall tours that are lined up?' To which I will say, that isn't RIGHT NOW. I want more Fall Out Boy RIGHT NOW. Sigh. Why can't every day be the Honda Civic Tour? Is that too much to ask?

Also: Bob's favorite guilty pleasure movie is Bring It On. gigantic , remember how we were discussing that Patrick was probably surprised by the extent of Bob's fagginess when they moved in together? Yeah. I want fic where Patrick, Frank and Bob watch Bring It On together, and then Patrick and Frank can sing I've Got You Babe while Bob plays tambourine, and then they can all have a lot of gay sex together. Let's make it happen.

No seriously, my No. 1 Favorite Song changes often, but if I were to make a list this would end up at least somewhere in the top five every time. It comforts me and lifts my heart and makes me feel loved, and if it's corny to say that about a 2Pac song I don't really care. It's awesome and you should give it a listen even if you think you hate hip-hop.
